The Underground Chef Co. (UCC) was founded in 2013 with the objective of providing Chefs and restaurateurs a platform to help promote and support the culinary community.

To do this, we launched UCC Chef Battles working with to-be-discovered Chefs in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. The battles, which continue on today, challenge Chefs to create several dishes from secret ingredients in under one-hour and provide audience goers with a real-time experience of life in the kitchen.

Starting in 2016, UCC will embark on an exciting new chapter (moving beyond the delivery of Chef Battles), with a series of programs designed to amplify the positive impact and reach of the culinary industry across Canada. From TALKS to EATS to GIVES, the main driver behind each of these programs is to inspire, inform and connect the food community.

We are proud to work with a growing roster of influential brand ambassadors (Chef Ted Reader, Chef Paul Boehmer, Chef Sam Glass) who share in our commitment to helping amplify the positive impact of the culinary community.
