Chef Tom Brodi was born in Toronto and has had an expansive international culinary career, spanning from Toronto, Chicago, New York, Europe and Montreal.
He has a decorated resume with positions at prestigious spots including Vaughan Estates, Mark McEwen's North 44, Canoe Restaurant and the famous Gramercy Tavern in New York, to name just a few.
Chef Brodi has participated in many international culinary events, including an invitation to Chicago’s Tru Restaurant to join Chef Rick Tramonto in presenting dinner in honour of the James Beard Foundation. In 2006, he was invited to New York’s esteemed James Beard House to showcase Canoe’s unique artistic Canadian cuisine. In 2010, he opened up TOCA by Tom Brodi. During this time the restaurant was named a AAA/CAA 4-Diamond award-winning restaurant in just the first year of operation.
Chef Brodi has appeared on numerous television programs including Cook Like A Chef, and most recently, the Food Network’s Top Chef Canada, as a celebrity judge. Since January 2016, Chef Brodi has returned to Oliver Bonacini as the Corporate Chef for restaurants, events and catering.
